Monkey Tom’s – Dark Eldar

by Monkey Tom - 4th May, 2012

So a little while ago I caved and started a Dark Eldar army. I promised myself I wouldn’t but the model were way too nice not to!

After flicking through the codex I couldn’t resist the colour scheme for the Kabal of the Obsidian Rose. So, well, that’s what I went for.

Unlike the main army featured in the codex I wanted to differentiate between the various factions within the army. So, all my Kabalite units (Archon, Warriors, trueborn when I decide to make them) would be in the standard Obsidian Rose colours and other units would have a variation it. So the Wyches for instance have solid red armour plates instead of the black with red edge highlights of the Kabalite Warriors. The colours are exactly the same used on both but with different highlighting techniques. So hopefully this will give the army a nice uniformed feel throughout whist still keeping units from different factions/organisations separate. I new the colour theory part of my old college course would come in handy one day!

Anyway, I stop waffling and talking rubbish. Take a look and see what you think. All comments are always welcome.
